YUM YUM YUM!!! this is so easy - and it tastes fifty-fifty better if you add together well-nigh a cup of pecans to it!
12/29/2004
YUM! Substituted frozen strawberries in syrup for the cherry pie filling because it'due south what I had on hand. I also added an entire bundle of mini marshmallows as another suggested. Only fabulous! Make certain to drain the crushed pineapple thouroughly! This is a very tasty treat and very similar to this website's "Antoinette's Strawberry Freeze" (which is wonderful)! Thank you for the peachy post! Volition be making this 1 again and will try it with crimson pie filling as the recipe calls for! I may even try it with blackberry pie filling! Very child-friendly too!
09/13/2003
This was awesome! It's always such a large hit at get-togethers. One ingredient that I have seen in other recipes for this was missing though - one loving cup miniature marshmallows. It'south a must! The 2nd time I made this, I used fat-complimentary sweetened condensed milk, fat-gratis whipped topping, and unsweetened crushed pineapple. Wow - nevertheless crawly, and so much less fat! Volition do that from now on. Thanks for the recipe!
12/11/2002
Very simple to brand! Just continue in heed that it has to chill in fridge at to the lowest degree 2 hours! It is perfect the way it is, merely I like likewise add together 1/4 cup coconut, and 1/2 cup chopped pecans.
eleven/08/2006
This came out really pretty simply I thought it was missing something. The condense milk was way likewise much. I will cut back adjacent time when I make it again to one/2 or iii/4 of the can. The recipe was easy to make. Thanks!
05/26/2001
Bully Recipe ! Everyone loved it !! Pink color looks very festive for taking to parties and everyone will ask you for the recipe!
11/23/2002
Substitute the condensed milk for fatty-gratis, lite scarlet filling, and light absurd whip and you have a low-fatty treat.
10/30/2005
This was so easy.. My daughter loved it. I thought it was alittle sugariness and I could gustation the condensed milk in it. I volition make it again merely with alittle less condensed milk and will endeavour it with some type of nuts and marshmellows.
07/28/2008
THIS IS THE All-time! What a simple recipe for the BIG reward it gives in astonishing flavor and satisfaction! I take it with me whenever I need to bring food to a gathering!
11/12/2006
Very easy recipe! Exist sure to drain the pineapple well and allow enough time to chill, otherwise it can be a fleck runny. My mom always made this with chopped pecans, but I prefer it without the nuts. If it is too rich for your gustatory modality, you tin can cut dorsum on the sweetened condensed milk.
11/22/2001
This dish was and then great. Everyone asked for the recipe AFTER they told me how much they loved it. If you're looking for a quick, delicious hit, this is the fashion to go!
eleven/21/2009
I didn't accept whatever sweetened condensed milk, so I made information technology without, and it was great.
11/26/2001
Good and then easy! I took to our Thanksgiving meal, and everybody loved it!
05/20/2011
This was pretty good though I did change the recipe every bit I thought the amount of the condensed milk would be too sweet. I only used 7oz of the condensed milk and idea information technology would have been groovy without information technology anyway. I also added Marshmallows to information technology. I will make this again, but not apply the Condensed milk.
07/03/2004
This was really sweetness but good. My female parent did non like the appearance of the finished product then I added some whipping foam to give it more fluff. We likewise used strawberry pie filling rather than cherry. A skillful summer salad.
11/10/2011
Succulent! I wanted to see if I could make a "Jello" out of it and information technology worked. If you take a i/2 c of hot water and dissolve crimson or pineapple Jello and mix it in with all the ingredients, information technology will go more like a "molded" Jello dessert. VERY tasty. Thanks!
08/eleven/2011
I have made this same recipe, but added some chopped nuts. Instead of chilling the salad, I put it in a 9x13 pan and freeze it. Stirring once while it is setting upwardly. Take it out 10-15 min before serving to thaw slightly. This makes for a absurd, yummy dessert. I also make information technology with whole cranberry sauce at Christmas time. Everyone loves this salad. Oh I almost forgot--I add juice from 1-2 lemons or 2T concentrated lemon juice to cut the sweetness. I prefer the real lemons, simply when y'all are in a hurry I cut corners.
06/eighteen/2006
A uncomplicated, easy dessert using on-hand ingredients! I tried it and LOVE Information technology! Husband ate it up. Going to try it side by side time with fresh strawberries! This is like "dump cake" - but it'south a pie! I put it in a crushed graham crust and information technology was fab.
12/01/2002
This was expert, just nothing outstanding. Would have been meliorate with mini marshmallows.
01/xvi/2002
Not bad recipe for the holidays. Everyone loved information technology.
02/14/2010
When I read the recipe, I idea, YUM! But after I followed the recipe exactly, and and then let it chill for a few hours, I was really unhappy with the mode information technology turned out; all the same, I needed a dessert, so I attempted to salve it. I added chopped basics, 1/2 packet of sour cream, and a cup of yogurt. Then I made a graham cracker crust, poured the "fluff" in to the pie pan and and so put it in the freeze for a few hours. In one case information technology hardened up information technology was pretty proficient, but I don't think I'll brand information technology once more.
01/02/2011
This is one of the easiest things to make ever. I freeze mine in a casserole dish for a few hours, then thaw 20 minutes before serving. I adopt that consistency - more of an water ice cream treat. Chopped pecans are also delicious in this.
12/06/2001
My husband loved this and ate the whole bowl.
09/21/2003

06/27/2011
This salad is delicious. I followed the recipe exactly and it came out perfect, nice and fluffy. I did make sure the pineapple was very well drained equally I call back this is very important for fluffy results. Delicious with chopped pecans added. I took information technology to a potluck where it disappeared quickly. Since making this many times I have started using 3/4 of the can of sweetened condensed milk. Notwithstanding sweet but not too sweet. Still turns out fluffy and beautiful.
06/12/2008
For those that say it has a liquid consistency, it is very of import to drain the pineapple thoroughly. I fifty-fifty squeeze mine and put it on paper towels. The dessert ends up nice and fluffy. And easy to make. And super tasty. :) I agree with the others that say pecans make a nice addition.
05/29/2010
Very tasty! Take used this recipe for many months. What I always practice is I take the whole can of pie filling and chop it all upwardly into petty pieces. This way it is more of a fluffy dessert than a chunky i. My family loves it with either chopped pecans or walnuts. Can as well hands make this low calorie!!! Then expert but not too sugariness.
12/07/2005
And then unproblematic and delicious! I made it for a co-worker'southward birthday. I put it in a Graham Cracker pie chaff, and permit it sit overnight. It's a hitting! I used Lite Absurd Whip instead of the existent bargain, simply information technology was still delicious! I'll be making this for Christmas. I see it more as a dessert than a side dish.
12/27/2012
I loved this one, information technology's best with regular cherry pie filling, not NSA. Besides, I added 1 cup big curd cottage cheese.
02/xv/2009
I used no carbohydrate added cherry pie filling, low-fat condensed milk and light cool whip. Color is pretty but side by side time I'll add some chopped nuts.
03/24/2005
Very expert I made it for an Easter potluck at work and it got raves! I did add a cup of shredded coconut to the mix. Might add pecans too next fourth dimension.
09/20/2006
I followed the recipe except I added marshmellows to information technology. My husband loved it I thought information technology seemed to be missing something.
02/25/2013
Delicious! (non very 'pretty' when it's starting time mixed upwards, only a pretty pink salad/dessert when it 'sets up' after being refrigerated for several hours.) Oh -- I added about a cup of mini marshmallows! (might add ane/ii cup of chopped pecans next time)
07/13/2010
This was a perfect dessert or light snack! I added marshmellows and a small-scale purse of pecan halves. I besides used the low fat cherry pie filling, lite cool whip and low fatty sweetened condensed milk. I liked this and so much my coworker paid me to make it for her.
06/10/2006

01/23/2011

I used sugar free cool whip, 'no saccharide added' cherry pie filling, fat free sweetened condensed milk, shredded pineapple in juice (drained in a colander). I did add about 1 1/2 cups of mini marshmallows - which are fat free - as others suggested. I will definitely make this again, and my co-workers, who love their sugary foods, loved this lighter version. Thanks for the recipe.
